A plug valve uses a plug with a through-hole as the closing element. The opening and closing action is achieved by rotating the plug together with the stem. Plug valves have a simple structure, quick operation, and low fluid resistance. In recent years, as one of the earliest types of valves used historically, it has not been replaced by valves like ball valves but has instead shown an increasingly popular market trend. I. Plug Valve Series Introduced by the Company
1. X43F Type: Features a sealing pair consisting of a specially designed seat bushing (PTFE or PPL) and a steel plug body; the plug body
is made of stainless steel (unlined). 2. X43F46 Type: The entire valve body and plug passage surfaces are lined with materials such as FEP or PFA. Both the X43F and X43F46 self-lubricating plug valves feature a unique rocker arm adjustment device and an optimally designed plug taper angle. They offer excellent sealing performance and long service life. Their advantage includes the ability to seal simultaneously on both the inlet and outlet ends. Throughout the entire operation, the sealing pair has a small friction coefficient, the plug operates flexibly, and it never requires
lubrication. II. Structural Features of the X43F Type Plug Valve 1. The valve body's inlet and outlet ports are designed with a double-groove seal ring structure. During the rotation of the plug, the
specific sealing pressure between the sealing pair gradually changes. When it reaches the fully open or fully closed position, sufficient specific sealing pressure is generated, achieving zero leakage in the sealing pair. 2. The double-groove seal ring not only securely holds the PTFE bushing in place within the valve body, preventing displacement, but also absorbs minor deformations in the bushing caused by temperature changes. Simultaneously, it creates a powerful wiping action between the bushing and the plug, further enhancing the service life of the sealing surface. 3. The upper part of the plug stem uses a combination of a PTFE diaphragm, an O-ring, and an adjusting shim. This assembly allows for adjustment of the specific sealing pressure between the sealing surfaces, ensuring flexible rotation of the plug while guaranteeing
sealing at both the inlet/outlet ends and the center flange connection. 4. The entire sealing process can be approximately considered independent of the pipeline internal pressure. 5. Inside the PTFE bushing, different filler materials are used depending on the service temperature and working medium, providing
good lubrication and long life. III. Actuation Methods Manual, Electric, Worm Gear Operation.
